兼任中国医学科学院糖尿病研究中心副主任，国家心血管病专家委员会心血管代谢医学专业委员会常委，中国老年保健医学研究会老年内分泌与代谢病分会常委，北京整合医学学会糖尿病学分会会长，北京医学会内分泌学分会常委，北京医师协会内分泌专科分会常务理事，《中华内分泌代谢杂志》编委等。从事内分泌代谢性疾病专业工作30余年，带领团队成员获得内分泌专业国家重点专科建设项目（2022年度）及北京市重点专科建设项目（2023年度）。累计培养研究生6名。主要科研领域：糖尿病预防及相关心血管疾病预测和干预的流行病学及分子生物学研究。主要研究成果：牵头中国医学科学院创新工程重大协同创新项目“大庆糖尿病研究”队列长期随访研究，牵头多个国内1.1类新药上市后疗效及安全性多中心长期随访研究，主持国家自然科学基金、高水平医院建设特色学科项目、医院特色学科发展专项、杨森科学研究委员会中国分会研究基金，协和英才基金等，作为研究骨干参与国家级重大重点项目及大庆糖尿病预防研究等重大研究项目，共30余项科研项目，有较强的科研能力和临床管理经验。曾多次参加“大庆糖尿病预防研究”23年，30年及34年随访研究，负责课题设计，现场调查，数据分析及文章撰写等工作，并多次在国际权威学会美国糖尿病协会（ADA）、欧洲糖尿病协会(EASD)及国际糖尿病联盟（IDF）等年会上做学术报告。以大庆糖尿病预防研究长期随访研究结果为基础，开展更深入的糖尿病心血管并发症的代谢组学及分子机制研究，获得预测糖尿病早期心血管疾病风险的新的生物学标志物，研究结果发表在糖尿病顶级期刊《diabetes care》，并获得三项国家发明专利。近5年共发表学术论文50余篇，JCR Q1区及高影响因子SCI10余篇，包括Lancet Diabetes Endocrinol，Diabetes Care，Diabetologia及Plos Medicine等权威期刊，总影响因子>100分。参加撰写国家级指南、专家共识及专业书籍共5部；获国家发明专利5项，获省部级科技进步二等奖1项。
